GREAT & Little Tew captain Andy Harris believes there is no added importance on this weekend’s top-of-the-table clash at home to rivals Shipton-under-Wychwood.

Tew remain at the summit of Division 2 despite last Saturday’s draw at Dinton.

However, second-placed Shipton cut the gap to 18 points after a six-run victory over Datchet.

With this weekend’s matches marking the half-way point of the season, Harris does not see tomorrow’s clash in a different light to any other game.

He said: “I don’t think we can pinpoint any game as being key.

“We just have to put in a consistent performance on Saturday.

“I’m looking forward to it.

“It is always a competitive game being a local rivalry.”

Tew are unchanged for a second successive week.

Shipton skipper Simon Hole is looking for a much improved performance, despite victory against Datchet last time out.

After crashing to 32-8, Anupam Sanklecha’s half century took them to 136 all out.

And Sanklecha and Stuart Hole combined to remarkably skittle Datchet for 130.

Shipton are also unchanged and Simon Hole said: “We need to bat a lot better.”

Aston Rowant welcome third-placed Gerrards Cross after battling to a draw against bottom side Cove last weekend.

Damian Shirazi, Sasha Barras and Leo Bethell are in for captain Josh Smith, Tom Needham and George Reid.
