Oxfordshire Under 25s slipped to an agonising 55-54 defeat against Surrey in the Junior Home Counties League at Southey.

Oxon trailed by 15 shots with seven ends left, but rallied to such effect that they held game with three bowls to play.

But Surrey held on for the second counting bowl in that final end to scrape home by one shot.
