MICHAEL Pearce claimed victory at the final race of the Sri Chinmoy Self Transcendence Series in Oxford.
Headington Road Runners’ Pearce won the four-mile event at Cuttleslowe Park in 23mins 14secs, ahead of Steve Naylor (unattached) and Kevin Hennessy, of St Clare’s.
Mark Lewy (Abingdon) was fourth.
Tom Wilson (unattached) topped the overall standings with five points, while Pearce was second despite only competing in one race.
His clubmate, Catriona Scott, took the senior women’s title.

McBain won the final round in 25.35, ahead of Headington’s Suzanne Pearce.
Hennessey (V40) and Abingdon’s Gina Lodowski (LV50) and Erica Woosey-Griffin (LV40) topped their respective age groups.
