BICESTER Town will kick-off their first season of competitive football in four years in the Uhlsport Hellenic League Division 1 East.
Bicester, who withdrew from senior football in 2011 due to a dispute with landlords Bicester Sports Association, were last month accepted back into the Hellenic League and put in Division 1 East at the league’s AGM at Burford on Sunday.
Wantage Town Res will also play in Division 1 East after being transferred from Division 1 West, swapping with Easington Sports.
In the Premier Division, champions Flackwell Heath, who won the division by a dozen points last season, will attempt to defend their crown after opting against moving up to the Southern League.
Flackwell had been accepted and provisionally placed in Division 1 South & West alongside Oxfordshire sides Didcot Town, Wantage Town, North Leigh and Banbury United, but turned it down due to the travelling.
Division 1 East side Chinnor will play home matches up to December at Abingdon Town’s Culham Road due to work at their Station Road ground.
