GOODLAKE Arms pulled off a surprise 5-4 victory over Premier side Peachcroft Social Club in the Greene King ODDA Summer League.
Les Radford, Mark Fowler, Scott Bennett and Mark Breakspear gave Section 1 outfit Goodlake a 4-0 lead.
Peachcroft’s Simon Smith and Michael Wilkes took the last two singles games, but, despite losing the pairs 2-1, Goodlake ran out narrow 5-4 winners.
In Section 2, Jimmy Organ’s victory over Geoff Hawkworth set George Bar A on their way to a 6-3 win over Village Inn.
George took a 3-1 lead, thanks to John Cole and Darren Hughes.
Village Inn pulled a game back, but Barry Wells’ victory and a 2-1 pairs triumph sealed the win.

James Deabill, Steve Bennett, Kevin James and Chris Room helped Black Bull to a 6-3 win over East Oxford Conservative Club in Section 3.
Littlemore British Legion beat Chequers Inn A 6-3 despite letting slip a 3-0 lead.
Wins for Harry Jenkins, Bob Malpas and Ian Gull saw Chequers level the match, but Littlemore were not to be denied and secured a 3-0 pairs victory.
In the ladies league, Blackbird Bar edged Donnington Community Centre A 5-4.
Trailing 4-2, Blackbird hit back to take the pairs 3-0.
Corner House A got their first win of the season with a 5-4 victory at Vikings Social Club.
Kidlington Green Social Club hung on for a 5-4 success over Florence Park Community Centre B despite losing the pairs 2-1.
