Georgina Polden heads into the fourth round of the HEL Performance British Motostar Championship at Snetterton this weekend, looking to build on a positive start to the season.
The 18-year-old, from Kidlington, is ninth in the standings with 30 points from the opening three rounds.
Polden has finished in the points on three occasions this year and secured her highest-placed finish at the first race of the season at Donington Park where she crossed the line in fourth.
Only 15 points separate Polden and fourth-placed rider Brad Ray and after a six-week break, due to the road races in Northern Ireland and Isle of Man, Polden is rested and ready to fight higher up the grid.
She said: “It has not been easy, but we have scored points.
“I am happy with my results, but I want to build on top five for the rest of the year.
“The top three are storming away, but apart from that the others are quite close.
“I would like to push for a podium hopefully soon.
“We nearly got there at Donington, so I will definitely be trying hard.”
Polden is still only in her third year of road racing and is already making a name for herself and is tipped as one of the top female riders in the country.
