David Denny led the way in City of Oxford’s successful showing at the British Masters and Senior Age Group Championships.
He won the 100m butterfly (1min 1.27secs) and the 400m freestyle (4.26.78) in the men’s 35-39 years category in Manchester and finished second in the 200m freestyle (2.05.41).
Matthew Gomez won the men’s 45-49 years 200m breaststroke in 2.49.19 and took bronze in the 100m breaststroke (1.17.15).
Men’s 30-34 swimmer Christopher Johansen took silver in the 200m backstroke in 2.40.44, while Zsuzanna Felvegi completed City’s tally with bronze in the women’s 35-39 years' 100m butterfly(1.17.58).
Clubmate Emily Nisbet, 15, has been selected to represent East England in the Sainsbury’s School Games, held in September.
A RECORD five teams from Oxfordshire will compete in this weekend's Under 11 National Primary Schools' relay finals in Sheffield.
They are Headington, the Dragon, the Manor Prep, Sibford and Beckley C of E.
