JUST a few days after finding out she had missed out on a place in the England Under 20 squad, 17-year-old Rowan White received another international call-up.
White, from Great Milton, has been selected for the England Under 18 sevens training squad ahead of the FIRA European Championships in Belgium in September.
The squad of 20 will be cut to 12 for the tournament.
White, who plays for Reading Under 18s, just missed out on making the final cut last year, and has starred for South West’s sevens side.
She said: “It would be incredible to go to Belgium.
“Last year, I was quite young, I was quiet and I needed to speak up a bit.

“I was looking in the right places, but not communicating it.
“The feedback was helpful.”
White, who started at Oxford Harlequins, before moving to Wallingford when she was 12, said of the under 20 trial: “It was a big ask to get in, but I really enjoyed it.
“I am going to hopefully know more of what to expect next year and be better equipped.
“Getting in to the sevens was a nice compensation.”
