OXFORD City AC’s David Bruce claimed back-to-back victories in the Mota-vation series by winning the second round at Bletchingdon.
His performance helped Oxford City, with five runners in the top 20, stay ahead in the standings, while Headington Road Runners lead the ladies’ competition.
Bruce beat Vet 40 winner James Bolton of Woodstock Harriers and Abingdon AC’s Paul Fernandez in completing the 4.5mile course in a rapid 22mins 20secs.
Eynsham’s Robert Storey crossed the line in 18th as the first Vet 50 runner.
Michael Collins, from Kidlington, claimed the Vet 70 honours.
Woodstock’s Sophie Carter, running for Belgrave Harriers, came home 16th to win the ladies race from Headington’s Moore, who was the first Vet 35.

Aine Lyng (Headington), Helene Greenwood (Kidlington), Allison Hirst (Eynsham) and Kate Williamson won the senior lady, U19, VL45 and 65 honours.
The next round is at Combe on July 2.
JOSHUA Entwistle of Oxford Brookes Running & AC won the 15k event at the tenth anniversary celebrations of the Chiltern Chase in Ewelme.
Chris Lucas (unaffiliated) and Paul Keating (Abingdon) won the 10k and 5k races.
