RISING stars Ben Claridge and Lottie Siddle helped Abingdon AC make home advantage count and stroll to victory at the second Midland League meeting at Tilsley Park.
Abingdon triumphed by nearly 100 points in the Division 5 event from secondplaced Kidderminster & Stourport, while Banbury Harriers were fifth.
White Horse Harriers’ Claridge, 17, running for secondclaim club Abingdon, won both the 400m and 800m titles.
Claridge beat Jack Imray of Tipton by 2.8secs in the 400m.
He then overcame Imray’s clubmate Tom Holden to claim the 800m crown in 2mins 4.4secs.
Meanwhile, 16-year-old Siddle took the women’s 800m crown by 16 seconds.

Abingdon’s James Thompson set a season’s best of 3.20m in winning the pole vault, while a personal best leap of 13.30m set Alex Hamilton on his way to the triple jump title.
Kirstine Fahl ran a personal best of 1min 12secs to win the 400m hurdles, while Katherine Mitchell threw 30.94m to claim the javelin honours.
Banbury’s Kyle Ennis enjoyed a prosperous day in claiming a sprint double.
The 23-year-old set a personal best in beating Abingdon’s Zack Smith, who is also a White Horse Harrier, by just 0.3secs in the 100m.
They also went head-tohead in the 200m, which Ennis won in 21.3secs.
Banbury’s Michael Dawes won the hammer with a personal best of 42.14m.

TEENAGER Craig Pickett broke an Army Cadet Force record in winning the shot put at the ACF National Athletics Tournament in Grantham, Lincolnshire.
Pickett, 17, a member of the Oxfordshire ACF Calais Company (Rifles), threw 11.75m to take gold.
