SKIPPER Steve Brandon returned from holiday to help Six Bells A Quarry to a 3-0 win over Vikings Sports B and prevent a third consecutive defeat in Section 2.
Brandon clanged off a baker’s dozen as Six Bells won 22-18, 17-14, 21-18.
Lee Anderson was in top form for Red Lion A Kidlington as he whipped off 14 dolls (4-5-5) in a 2-1 victory at Florence Park Club A.
Red Lion won the first 26-22, before Florence Park levelled after Anderson fell one short of a sixer.
In the final leg, the club men could muster only a set of 13, which the Lion roared back with 24.
Rose Hill Club A’s Kevin Stuart and Golden Ball A’s Steve Tooke both hit 13, as Rose Hill came out on top 2-1.

In Section 7, Berkshire House beat Red Lion Yarnton 2-1 to move level on points with their opponents.
Red Lion took an early lead, before Berkshire’s anchorman Nick Chapman knocked off five to level the match.
Berkshire wrapped up victory in the final leg 18-11.
Section 8 leaders Donnington Club B earned a hard-fought 3-0 win at home to Northway Club B.
A one-stick shoot out saw Donnington go 2-0 up.
They then claimed maximum points in the final leg 15-14.
