JASON Plato claimed two victories at Oulton Park to take a three-point lead in the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship standings.
The 47-year-old from Oxford leads Gordon Shedden with 157 points from five rounds.
After winning the opening two races, Plato came fifth in the third, and was delighted with his performances across the weekend.
“When you’re in the groove with both the car and the circuit it makes the job a whole lot easier,” he said.
“Pole position and two wins – a good weekend by anyone’s standards.”
Plato picked up from where he left off in qualifying.

Starting from pole, the Team BMR driver rarely looked back in race one despite Matt Neal’s best efforts in the Honda Civic Type R.
But with Neal preoccupied by the challenge of Team IHG Rewards Club’s Andy Priaulx, Plato sealed victory.
Looking to win the championship for a third time, Plato produced a similar performance in the second.
However, he had to fend off the attentions of Shedden before edging the Honda racer by just 0.093secs.
The victory marked Plato’s 199th podium and the first time this season a driver has taken top honours with maximum weight ballast.
Sam Tordoff took victory in race three, with Plato claiming vital points in fifth.
CHIPPING Norton's Sean Walkinshaw and MRS GTRacing teammate Craig Dolby posted two more points finishes in the Blancpain Sprint Series at Zolder in Belgium to stay ninth in the standings.
Delivering a best result of sixth in the qualification race, they finished tenth in the main event.
