Thomas Hannaby took four wickets in four balls to set Challow & Childrey on the way to a five-wicket home win over Charlbury in the Ron Maudsley Under 13 Trophy.
Hannaby’s remarkable run of wickets came in figures of 5-15 as Charlbury were held to 93-9, Alex Bush top-scoring with 28.
James Coombs (30no) and Freddie Robson (28) then steered Challow home at 97-5.
Will Woodley also took 5-15 and hit an unbeaten 30, but it couldn’t save Kingston Bagpuize from a seven-run defeat at home to holders Pangbourne & Whitchurch.
In the Oxfordshire Under 13 League, Horspath rattled up 135-6 against Minster Lovell B to set up a 92-run home victory.
Alec Cooke (30no) led the way, before the visitors struggled to 43-7, with Jamie Hicks taking 3-4.
Great & Little Tew’s Oliver Books (4-2) took three wickets in his first over to help secure a 40-run win at Combe.
