CLUB captain Matt Corker will embark on a ninth season with London Welsh after signing a new deal with the Exiles.
The 32-year-old second row, who has made 223 appearances for the Oxford-based club, has become the fourteenth player to re-sign ahead of next season's Greene King IPA Championship campaign.
Welsh's relegation from the Aviva Premiership was confirmed over a month ago and the club are on course to be statisically the worst side in top flight history with one bonus point.
They still have to play league leaders Northampton Saints on Saturday and third-placed Saracens on May 16.
Corker, who captained the side to promotion last season, will combine his playing duties with his new role as the club's line-out coach.
He said: "I am really pleased to have re-signed with London Welsh and extend my time with the club that I love so much, and I am thankful to Steve Lewis (director of rugby) and the board for giving me the opportunity to do so.

"I'm also really grateful to head coach Rowland Philips for allowing me to further my development as lineout coach next year, a role that I am really excited to be fulfilling.
"After such a tough season I’m really looking forward to drawing on the lessons we’ve learnt to ensure our upcoming Championship campaign is a successful one."
