FARINGDON Town Res were denied a place in the quarter-finals of the Berks & Bucks FA Junior Cup after their 2-1 defeat at fellow North Berks League Division 2 side Kintbury Rangers Res.
Richard Evans scored for Town, but goals from Luke Connor and Alastair Shambrook won the tie for the visitors.
East Hendred also missed out after they were cruelly beaten 4-3 on penalties following a dramatic 4-4 draw with Thames Valley Premier League side Eldon Celtic.
Hendred's goals came from Ben Sutton, Sam Belcher, Liam McCullough and Jason McDowell.
