Danielle Anderson netted a hat-trick as Oxford City Ladies regained second spot in the Southern Region Women’s League Premier Division with a crushing 8-0 win at Aldershot Town.
Mollie Avery fired City into the lead from the penalty spot following a foul on Kiera Isaac, before two quick goals from Anderson put the visitors firmly in control.
Jayne Younger made it 4-0 before the break and Anderson notched her hat-trick just six minutes after the restart.
Ethne Rothery scored soon after and two goals in two minutes from Isaac and Heather Young completed the scoring.
Manager Jack Wells said: ‘’Danielle was good today and I’m happy she bagged a hat-trick.
“I’m extremely happy with her input, but today collectively we turned up, worked the ball early doors and got what we deserved.”
