TOM Newey has signed a contract at Northampton Town until the end of the season, 24 hours after leaving Oxford United.
The 32-year-old agreed to cancel the remaining five months of his stay at the U's yesterday, after falling down the pecking order.
Newey, who was loaned out to the Cobblers in October, was quickly offered a deal at Sixfields.
And the left back has now put pen to paper, reuniting with former United boss Chris Wilder, who first signed him in 2013.
