The Pepperell family had a day to remember yesterday.
Golfing brothers Eddie and Joe each had reason to celebrate – the former moving into contention at the Commercial Bank Qatar Masters, and the latter landing a new job at Oxford Golf Club.
Eddie’s seven-under-par 65 in the European Tour event in Doha sees him joint fifth at the end of the third round, two shots off the lead.
Having ended his round with three birdies, the 24-year-old was briefly leading the event on 11 under par.

Marc Warren, Bernd Wiesberger, Branden Grace and Emiliano Grillo are tied for the lead at 13 under.
Joe was named as Oxford’s head professional, starting his new role on March 1.
He replaces Tony Rees, who is retiring after 56 years.
Remarkably, Pepperell is only the third professional in the club’s 110-year history.
“I am extremely pleased and honoured,” he said.
“The club has a long and proud history, but equally important is their vision for the future of golf that I am really looking forward to being part of.”
