Berinsfield Chloe Gorringe will take on Chloe Litwin, from Turners Boxing Academy (Surrey), in the pre-quarter finals of the female youth national championships in Portsmouth on February 7.
Gorringe, 16, who reached the national finals in 2013, where she lost by a unanimous points decision to Melissa Hall from Everton Red Triangle BC (Liverpool), got a walkover in the last round.
And she has been hard at work sparring with her coach Lee Corrigan in preparation for next month’s bout.
Women’s boxing has taken off since the 2012 Olympics, particularly at the Oxfordshire club, with Harriet Healey, Jasmine Price and Georgina White waiting in the wings.
