SOUTHEND United manager Phil Brown will not face extra punishment for being sent off against Oxford United.
The former Hull City boss was sent to the stands at the Kassam Stadium last weekend after fourth official Gavin Muge felt he had made a gesture towards U’s fans.
Brown was fuming afterwards about the decision, but has been informed there will be no further sanctions.
He told the Southend Echo: “The matter is now closed as far as I’m concerned.
“I told him the fourth official he needed to have a look at himself in the cold light of day and how he had behaved.
“I’ve gone away and done the same but there’s no problem.”
