WANTAGE Town boss Daniel Barry is targeting an upset as his side attempt to bring an end to Evesham United's ten-match unbeaten streak at Alfredian Park this evening.
The visitors have soared to fourth in Evo-Stik Southern League Division 1 South & West, but after coming from behind to claim a second win in three games at Fleet Town on Saturday Barry feels confidence is growing at Wantage.
He said: "Saturday was an excellent response from the lads and I don't feel we got the credit we deserve.
"Our squad is very young but we picked the most experienced starting 11 we could and made a few changes to the shape of the team to try and be more of a threat going forward and that worked.
"However, at times we took risks and Tucks (goalkeeper Gareth Tucker) made some excellent saves.
"As we know there's no easy game at this level and we look forward to going against Evesham who look like one of the best teams in the league."
The Alfredians are without the injured Adam Doyle (knee) and Nick Thorne due to work commitments.
Didcot Town joint manager Ian Concannon is hopeful of laying to rest the recent issues which have dogged his side as they travel to Shortwood United.
The Railwaymen were cruelly denied victory by a late leveller at home to Shortwood last week and followed that up with a limp 3-0 defeat at home to Taunton Town on Saturday.
But Concannon believes that victory this evening will put an end to a dreadful run which has seen Town win just once in ten matches.
"It's an opportunity to go and put it right and if we start the game like the second half at home to them we can cause them problems
"It's a real test of character for all of us. I'm confident that we'll turn it around but we need to do it quickly.
"Winning breeds confidence and it becomes a habit, but if you get into a losing habit it can be very hard to get out of it.
"We're not in crisis, we're just going through an indifferent patch."
Concannon and fellow manager Jamie Heapy again have a full complement of players to choose from and are hopeful of bolstering their squad ahead of this evening's match with a new signing.
