SOUTHEND United boss Phil Brown was furious after being sent to the stand in his side’s 3-2 win at the Kassam Stadium on Saturday.
Brown was dismissed after a long-running battle with fourth official Gavin Muge.
“The fourth official said I made some kind of signal to the Oxford supporters, who had been abusing me,” said Brown.
“But I would stand with my hand on a bible in a court of law and insist I have not abused anybody.”
He added: “There was no facility for a manager to go so I had to just sit in with the supporters who were abusing me which is just crazy.”
