North Leigh reached the last eight of the Southern League’s Red Insure Cup for the first time with a 3-1 win over Stratford Town at Eynsham Park last night.
After the kick-off had been delayed 20 minutes due to floodlight problems, Elliott Osborne-Ricketts opened the scoring with a 20-yard left-foot drive in the 14th minute.
Stratford levelled the third-round tie nine minutes later when Simeon Tulloch scored direct from a corner.
Michael Hopkins’ shot from 20 yards in the 69th minute restored North Leigh’s lead.
And they sealed victory on 85 minutes when Osborne-Ricketts fired home a penalty after Conor Ingram was brought down by Guy Clark.
