Patrick Hoban is now eligible to play after Oxford United secured international clearance.
The Irishman signed from Dundalk in November, but the U’s had to wait until the transfer window opened before they could apply for the necessary paperwork.
Hoban, 23, will still have to wait for his U’s debut, as he recovers from an ankle injury.
But after returning to training on Monday, the striker is in line to play for the development side next week.
