Banbury United battled their way to a valuable point at home to high-flying Redditch United in the Evo-Stik Southern League Premier Division.
The bottom club’s Luke Cray was taken ill just before kick-off and Darius Browne came into the side.
Despite this, Banbury had the better chances in the first half, with Tom Ryan heading a Jacob Walcott corner over the bar and Carl Tappin shooting just wide.
Redditch’s Ashley Sammons had a glorious chance early in the second half, but sent his lob over both keeper Leigh Bedwell and the bar.
Bedwell then denied Sammons from close range, while George Carline twice, Leigh Phillips and Kyle Turner also had chances to win it for Redditch.
Banbury Utd: Bedwell, Browne (Meade 56), M Martin, Westbrook, Tappin, Ryan, Green, Hartigan, Howards, Walcott, Whitehead. Subs not used: Cray, D Martin, Strafford, White.
Attendance: 313.
