Oxford City Stars have signed US star Evan Mackintosh from the Park City Pioneers in Utah for the second half of their English National League South Division 1 campaign.
The 27-year-old forward brings a host of experience, having played for teams in Boston and Minneapolis, as well as spending some time with sides in New Zealand and Spain.
His goals and assists record in his past couple of seasons has been impressive, and the Stars are hoping he can bring some extra bite to their attacking play.
The Stars are allowed two imported players on the roster and Mackintosh replaces Michal Tomasik, who has returned to his native Slovakia after a short, but successful spell in Oxford.

Previous import signings this season, including Zsolt Masterleriu have been defencemen, but the Stars thought the chance to sign a forward of Mackintosh’s quality was too good to miss.
Head coach Darren Elliott said, “Obviously, we’re really excited to have a player of Evan’s experience and capabilities.
“Given our track record with imports it’s great to pin one down before the transfer deadline shuts.
“We’re expecting Evan to play at home to Wightlink on Sunday.”
Mackintosh said: “I’ve been looking for a new challenge and I heard Oxford were looking for an import to come in.
“I’ve seen some videos, and spoken to some people about how the Stars play, and it sounded like a really good fit for me.”
