Asa Hall will miss out on a chance to come up against Oxford United after a miserable season continued with news he requires an operation.
The 28-year-old, who has had two spells with the U’s, moved to Cheltenham Town last summer.
But Hall (pictured) has played just four minutes of competitive football for the Robins, picking up a calf problem on the opening day of the season.
It has had a knock-on effect, and this week Cheltenham revealed he needs surgery on his Achilles tendon, which will keep him sidelined for another six weeks.
