OXFORD City’s men retained the vet 60 team title for the third year running at the SEAA Inter-Counties Cross Country Championships.
With the advantage of home knowledge, Stewart Thorp, Richard Grant and Roy Treadwell proved a class above their rivals to take first place in their Masters category.
John Exley’s fine effort ensured a strong City showing in that event.
The only disappointment was Thorp losing the title he had won for the last two years, but he still took silver in the V60-64 race. Grant just missed out on the medals in fourth.
