Sophie Carter helped Belgrave Harriers’ ladies to 17th place in the English Road Relay Championships at Sutton Park, Birmingham.
Carter, from Woodstock, recorded her first-claim club’s fastest split for the 4.315km course with a time of 15mins 34secs on leg one.
This was the 57th quickest by anyone on the day.
Jonny Cornish, from Wantage, ran the fastest leg for Hercules Wimbledon, who finished 30th in the men’s event.

Cornish clocked 18.47 for the 5.847km route on leg five.
Abingdon secured two top-30 finishes in the junior races over a 3.863km course at the same venue.
The club’s under 13 boys’ team of Alexander Pennington (14.56), Adam Ede (14.50) and Kie Francis (15.35) were 18th of 46 finishers in a combined time of 45.21.
Abingdon’s under 17 ladies side of Lottie Siddle (16.15), Fiona Bunn (14.39) and Vicky Tilling (16.52) came 29th out of 44 teams in 47.46.
