OXFORD Harlequins suffered their first home defeat of the season with a 24-13 reverse against second-placed Hornets.
Quins were below par and missed kicks at crucial times, while Hornets took their chances well.
The visitors went ahead with a 22nd-minute penalty from Andy Wheller.
Quins full back Jack Robinson hit the post with a penalty, but just before the half-hour, a catch-and-drive ended with lock Lloyd Willcocks picking up and diving over for a home try.

Hornets went back in front when flanker Matt Parker drove over and Wheller converted.
Robinson slotted a penalty before the break, but Hornets wrapped up the spoils with two tries early in the second period.
Centre Rob Dempsey scored the first under the posts, while the second was a penalty try. Wheller converted both.
Quins scored the try of the game with scrum half Ralph Jones diving over in the corner, but they could not add to their tally despite plenty of late pressure.
