North Leigh conceded two goals in the first ten minutes, but afterwards matched their high-flying Southern League Division 1 South & West opponents Merthyr Town who won 3-1.
After five minutes, Jarrad Wright the Merthyr centre back, rose to head a simple goal past keeper Matt Bulman.
Then striker Kayne McLaggon stole behind the visitors’ defence to head a second goal from a looping cross.
The Millers’ best chance came when Kieran Sanders headed against a post.
With Morgan Williams and Zak Eadle replacing the injured Conor Ingram and Jon Else, North Leigh pushed forward.
They pulled back a goal when Jamie Cook and Williams set up Sanders, who crashed the ball home.
Then Eadle was ad-judged to have fouled Ian Taylor in the box, and Ryan Prosser scored from the spot.
North Leigh: Bulman, Else (Eadle 45), Hopkins, Turk, Gunn, Hole, Sanders, McNish, Ingram (Williams 35), Cook (Bowles 73), A Woodley.
Attendance: 368.
