Georgina Polden warmed up for this weekend’s BSB Motul Motostar Championship at Silverstone with a brilliant display in the Aprilia Superteens Championship at Donnington Park.
Competing in her last Superteens meeting, the Kidlington youngster secured one victory, a second place and two thirds in the eighth and final round.
This enabled Polden to finish second in the overall series and to claim the Buffera Women’s Championship, having come third last year.
In her opening race at Donnington, she had to settle for third place behind winner Danny Booth and Rory Skinner.

Polden made a poor start in race two. With three laps to go, she started to reel Booth in, but the finishing line came just too soon and she had to settle for another third place.
The following, as her lap times had improved to 1 min 24.6secs, she found herself on the front row of the grid in second place for race three.
However, she made another bad start and found herself relegated to fifth.
Polden managed to fight her way through the pack, getting into second.
By this point Skinner was clear, and Polden settled for second, which was enough to clinch her runners-up spot in the championship.
For her last race in the series, Polden was running in second spot before the leader, Skinner’s bike broke down with two laps to go.
After clinching her race victory, Polden said: “Although this was not a battle for the win, it still was a great feeling to come over the line first in last time riding my superteen bike.
“It’s been a fantastic weekend with all my friends from the Thundersport paddock, sponsors and family in support.”
