BRIAN Howard will be unfazed if Newport County continue a run of opposition sides deploying man-to-man markers against him tomorrow.
The 31-year-old is getting closer to full fitness after joining Oxford United last month.
Stevenage and Luton Town both paid the former Barnsley and Reading midfielder close attention, and although Howard feels he is yet to play well enough to warrant the tactic, it is not something which concerns him.
He said: “In the last two games sides have changed formations and had someone sitting on me, giving me a few digs.

“I’ve had a few little knocks, but it’s all part of the challenge and is something I’m enjoying.”
He added: “I don’t think I’ve earned that right yet, maybe it’s the name.
“I’ve not completed 90 minutes yet, so maybe if I start hitting the net and getting a few more assists then it’s a compliment.”
