MICHAEL Appleton is looking to arrange further loan deals for outfield players on the fringes of Oxford United’s squad.
There are already five members of the development and first team squads plying their trade elsewhere.
Appleton, who indicated those being considered were not necessarily youngsters, is keen to get games for particular players, providing the right deals can be agreed.
He said: “Definitely one or two will go out on loan who are in and around the squad at the minute.

Latest United news:
“It’s absolutely pointless having a development squad without having a loan system in place.”
There is evidence those sent out on loan are reaping the benefits.
Last weekend Tyrone Marsh scored his second goal for Welling United in the Vanarama Conference, while Aidan Hawtin and Josh Shama have found the net at Banbury United.
Appleton said: “At some point the right thing will be to have the likes of Tyrone and Aidan back in the club day-to-day.
“Young Freddie Grant has gone out to Margate and been their best player for the first two games.
“It’s done him the world of good. He’s walking round ten-foot tall at the minute.
“It does work, you’ve just got to be clever in terms of picking the right time.”
