Forgotten horse Berkshire is set for an imminent return to competitive action.
The three-year-old, from Paul Cole’s Whatcombe stables, near Wantage, hasn’t run since finishing tailed off on his reappearance in the Greenham Stakes at Newbury, after which he had to undergo a colic operation.
Cole’s son and assistant, Oliver, said a race over a mile at Newmarket or the Churchill Stakes at Lingfield on November 15 were under consideration for his return.
