JAMES Roberts came off the bench to score the winner as Oxford United came from two goals down to win 3-2 against Swindon Town at Roman Way.
The visitors had a two-goal lead at the break, but Carlton Morris, Junior Brown and Roberts struck in the space of 18 minutes to win the behind-closed-doors game for the hosts.
United named a strong side, with several first-team players needing minutes on the pitch.
Ryan Clarke and Andy Whing played for the second week in a row as they continued their comebacks from injury.
Michael Raynes, Alfie Potter, Brown and Morris also started, but it was a youthful Swindon side who enjoyed the best of the first half.
Connor Waldon opened the scoring on 14 minutes, springing United's offside trap to slot past Clarke.
And 20 minutes later they made it 2-0, when George Barker scored from the penalty spot after Sam Long had been penalised for a challenge.
But United hit back to turn the game on its head after the hour mark.
Morris pulled one back when he shot in off the post after Brown threaded a pass through.
The pair combined again six minutes later to level the scores, Morris cutting the ball back for Brown to thump into the net.
The comeback was completed 11 minutes from time, when Roberts broke through to score.
He came close to scoring a second goal in the final minute, but shot wide.
Oxford Utd: Clarke, Welch-Hayes, Long, Raynes (Cundy 70), Meades, Ashby, Whing, Potter, Brown (Roberts 70), Humphreys (Jakubiak ht), Morris.
