GOALKEEPER Lee Farrow was sent off in controversial fashion as Wantage Town slumped to their heaviest defeat of the season, a 5-0 loss at Mangotsfield United in Southern League Division 1 South & West.
Zac Evans had already volleyed Mangotsfield ahead when Farrow saw red for bringing down Mitch Page in the penalty area, although the Mangotsfield striker seemed to have lost control of the ball and appeared to go down without any contact being made.
With reserve keeper Gareth Tucker gaining match time elsewhere, Robbie Sadler went between the sticks, but he was powerless to stop Lewis Powell scoring from the spot on the half-hour.
Page raced on to a long ball to make it 3-0, before Powell tapped in No 4 at the back post before half-time.
