Georgina Polden was satisfied with a 20th place finish – seventh in her class – on her first taste of action at Assen, in Holland.
The Kidlington rider, competing in the Motul Motorstar Championship, described it as a “dream come true” to ride the circuit.
Polden, who was competing for the first time since breaking a finger in a nasty crash at Donington Park a fortnight ago, started tentatively.
However, her times soon came down in qualifying as she comfortable made the cut of 44 riders, securing a 25th-place starting position.
A good start saw her climb into the top 20 of the 12-lap race, but just as she recorded her fastest lap, the race was red-flagged, leaving her in 20th overall and seventh in the 125cc class.
