OXFORDSHIRE’S Liz Bamber has secured a top-five ranking for Britain’s over 60 women.
The Bampton player climbed into the country’s elite with victory in the Grade 3 event at Woking.
Bamber beat Surrey’s Barbara Awbery 6-2, 6-2, in the final to land the title.
Meanwhile, Raia Jagger was another county player to win a national title.

The Botley youngster beat Erin Oelmann, from South Wales, 4-2, 5-3 to take the 14 and under Grade 3 event at North Oxford.
CHOLSEY have won the Oxfordshire Wilson Summer League Ladies’ Division 1 title.
Their team of Emma Frost, Ruth Ballantyne, Ana Coggan and Heather Harrison won 3-1 away at Banbury to seal the crown.
Rivals Wantage B also won 3-1, against Oxford Sports, but Cholsey’s superior sets score saw them clinch the title.
