ABINGDON’S Eddie Pepperell maintain his impressive form with another superb show, which significantly boosted his hopes of making the prestigious end-of-season World Tour Championship.
The Frilford Heath member, who finished fourth in the KLM Dutch Open a week ago, finished in the same position in golf’s ISPS Handa Wales Open at Celtic Manor yesterday.
Pepperell ended on a 12-under-par total of 272, just two shots behind winner Joost Luiten, from Holland to collect around £65,000.
That pot was enough to move him to 55th on the Race to Dubai rankings, where the top 60 play for huge money at the end of the season.

There seemed little hope of Pepperell challenging for glory after the second round, where a three-over-par 74 left him languishing in 55th place.
But on Saturday some spectacular golf saw the 23-year-old hit a best-ever round of 63 – eight-under-par – to climb into the reckoning.
That round saw Pepperell collect three birdies on the front nine and then five in the final eight holes to climb to tied ninth.
He had shot an eight-under round before, but on a par 72 course, not 71.
Pepperell started poorly yesterday with two bogies in the opening five holes, but he then found his game to climb up the leaderboard and claim another top-four finish.
