CHINNOR have signed back-row forward Jake Parker on loan from Greene King IPA Championship club Cornish Pirates.
The 23-year-old played 80 minutes for Pirates against Yorkshire Carnegie (formerly Leeds) on Saturday.
But he will drop down to National 2 South this week for Chinnor’s home clash with Dorking.
Parker is expected to replace Alfie To’oala, who is awaiting a disciplinary hearing after his red card at Henley on Saturday.
“Jake is a very mobile and athletic back-row forward who is equally happy at six or eight,” said Chinnor director of rugby Matt Williams.
“Having featured in 23 of the Pirates matches last season as well as playing a full game against Leeds on Saturday, he is in tip-top condition and will add much speed to our back row.
“I’m excited to see the impact he will make.”
Ex-England Under 18 player Parker will join up with former Pirates teammate Junior Fatialofa at Kingsey Road.
Meanwhile, former Italian international prop Tino Paoletti has left Chinnor to return home for family reasons.
Paoletti, who started both of Chinnor’s league games, won 17 caps for Italy.
