Oxford City gained a sparkling win at Bradford Park Avenue in Vanarama Conference North last night – and even had the luxury of missing a penalty.
City went in front when Jose Lapoujade headed firmly home from from Ander del Alano’s corner.
Play was held up for 12 minutes when referee Peter Wright was taken ill to be replaced by Craig Buxton.
On 42 minutes, City were awarded a penalty when Kynan Isaac was brought down, but Adi Yussuf was way off target from the spot.
City doubled their lead on the hour when substitute Tom Winters rifled home a strike from fully 40 yards.
Two minutes later, Winters was on hand to put away a cross from Isaac.
Felipe Barcelos netted his first goal of the season after Isaac’s shot was spilled by keeper John Lamb, and Lewis Wilson added No 5.
