Oxfordshire competitors struck triple gold at the Sainsbury’s 2014 School Games in Manchester.
Wheatley Park School’s Megan Twigg won all three of her fights to take the girls’ under 70kg judo title.
And in athletics, Amy Werrington (Gillotts, Henley) triumphed in the girls’ hammer with a throw of 56.58m, while Burford School’s Eleanor Hubbert took the girls’ ambulant 200m in 41.50secs.
Representing England, Twigg was relieved she was able to overcome her nerves to win gold ahead of her compatriot, Shelley Ludford.
“I’m really happy with how everything went and I’m delighted to get the gold,” said the Oxford Judo Club member.
“It’s been an amazing experience.”
Representing England Midlands, Herrington’s fifth round throw put her clear of Katie Lambert (England North West), who finished second with 55.45m. Hubbert (England Midlands) saw off the challenge of England South East’s Amy Wareing and England North East’s Amy Carr.
“I’m really happy with the place, but a bit disappointed with the time,” said Hubbert, a member of Radley AC.
Chipping Norton School’s Megan Humphreys was fourth in the girls’ 800m in 4mins 40.12secs as Kate Waugh took gold in 4.35.51.
Luisa Chantler-Edmond (Cherwell, Oxford) was sixth in the girls’ discus in 32.94m, while Ben Claridge (King Alfred’s Academy, Wantage filled the same spot in the boys’ 800m in 1.58.01.
In badminton, Alex Cook (Lord Williams’s, Thame) reached the boys’ singles and doubles semi-finals.
Representing England, he beat Brazil’s Vinicious Dos Santos and Scotland’s Matthew Grimley, before bowing out to teammate Johnnie Torjussen 9-21, 21-15, 21-19 in the last four of the singles.
Teaming up with James Youle in the doubles, he defeated Northern Ireland’s Matthew Smyth and Chin Nam Soon, only to lose 21-18, 21-9 to Scotland’s Matthew Duguid and Alex Dunn in thelast four.
Cook also took part in the mixed doubles with Samodania Wijetunge, going out to Dos Santos and Jeisiane Alves in round two.
