FOUR Banbury juniors have been selected for the Northampton Saints and Wasps academies.
George Grieve and Jake Anderson are part of Northampton’s set-up, while Caleb Shepherd and Jacob Turner are in Wasps’ ranks.
If they make the grade over the next two years, they may be offered professional contracts.
The quartet are part of Banbury’s colts side, who hammered Redingensians 77-0 in their opening Oxon, Berks & Bucks Under 18 League Division 1 match on Sunday.
Grieve (3), Harry Smith (2), Hugh Saar (2), Jack Briggs, George Barbeary, Callum Horne, Tom Chiles and Dan Morris scored tries, with Saar converting seven of them and adding a penalty.
Banbury’s first team begin their Midlands 2 West South campaign away to Spartans on Saturday, looking to build on their second-placed finish in 2013-14.
