SIX Bells C Kidlington are the new Greene King Oxford & District League Premier Section champions after beating The Black Prince 3-0 on their own alley, writes ANDY BEAL.

Skipper Roger Goodall (6-4-4) led the way with 14 dolls as they won 25-19, 31-21, 25-24.

By lifting their second title they became only the third different team to win in the past 22 years.

Their closest rivals Three Pigeons clanged off a massive 99 dolls at home to Rose Hill Club A.

Kevin Giles (5-6-6) claimed 17, missing only with his first stick in the 27-23, 35-31, 37-31 success.

The other title to be decided was in Section 7, where Six Bells B Kidlington wrapped it up with a 3-0 triumph at home to The Blackbird.

They won the first two legs 17-13, 16-10, but had to rely on three sticks in the final leg after it was tied 11-11.

Yarnton British Legion need a single point to take the Section 1 honours after a 25-24, 21-20, 30-29 win at rivals Garsington Sports A.

The Woodman are in pole position in Section 2 after coming away from the Griffin with a 24-18, 26-22, 30-25 win.

Ampleforth Arms A are one point behind after dropping a leg at Chequers A.

They comfortably won the first two legs 25-17, 25-17 but lost the final leg 24-19.

There are still five teams who can win Section 6.

Leaders Seacourt Bridge dropped a leg at Red Lion Yarnton, allowing North Oxford Con Club B to draw level at the top following a 3-0 romp at home to basement boys Chandos Arms.
