UHLSPORT Hellenic League side AFC Hinksey have folded after only two seasons, writes NICK FARRANT.
The club, who ground-shared with Abingdon Town, won promotion to Division 1 East in 2012, but failed to register in time for this season.
It means they will take no part in the new campaign when it starts on August 9.
Hellenic League general manager Brian King said: “They failed to fill in the form so therefore they are not in the league’s constitution.
“I sent them two reminders, but I failed to receive a reply.
“It’s always sad when a club falls out of a league and numbers have been declining year on year.
“Thankfully, with clubs going up and coming down, we will have the same number of teams for next season (14 in Division 1 East).”
Oxfordshire Football Association chief executive Ian Mason added: “They have folded. We found that out when they did not register with the Hellenic League.”
No-one from AFC Hinksey was available for comment.
