Chris Watling says there is no panic in the Aston Rowant camp, despite being just one place above the Serious Cricket Home Counties Premier League Division 1 relegation zone.
Rowant host second-from-bottom Harefield tomorrow in what is a crunch clash, and batsman Watling hopes victory will prove a springboard.
“The last few weeks have been quite disappointing, but we are not panicking about it,” said Watling.
“This weekend is a pretty big game. If we can beat them, hopefully we can go up the table and get on a roll again.
“One good batting display will kick-start us.”
Batsman Archie Leon and seamer Gordon Harris are added to the squad, but all-rounder Miles Hammond is away on England Under 19 duty.
Banbury will give seamer Dean Bartlett a fitness test ahead of their home game with Tring Park.
Bartlett has been out for two weeks with tendonitis in a knee, but comes into a squad of 12 as Banbury seek to reignite their title challenge.
Ony eight points separate fourth-placed Slough and leaders High Wycombe, so third-placed Banbury remain very much in the mix.
Skipper Jimmy Phillips said: “Any of the top four will feel that it is in their own hands.
“We are all playing each others, so there will be points droped.
“We need to get back to where we were at the start of the season.
“All the boys know that, but the feeling is still very good and positive.”
Either Andrew Clough or Alex Davies will replace Stewart Laudat (holiday) in the Oxford side to Wycombe.
Laudat made a key 51 in Oxford’s dramatic 33-run victory over Tring Park last week where they defended 115.
“It was a win from nowhere,” said captain Crosby.
“Hopefully, it can be a springboard for the second half of our season.
“High Wycombe are a top side, so we will have to be at our best to win.”
