OXFORD City triple jumper Nathan Douglas has had to shrug off a series of injury setbacks to make the England team.
The 31-year-old finished fourth at Delhi 2010 and has won European silver indoors and outdoors.
But serious injuries meant he missed all of 2011 and competed just once in 2012.
Douglas has a furthest jump of 16.65m this season, but is hopeful of challenging the 17m barrier again.
“After the disappointment of London 2012, this feels really great,” he said.
“That was one of the aims for me – to be back on home soil with a home crowd.”
Douglas’s qualifying is on Friday, August 1, with the final the following day.
Sprint hurdler Lawrence Clarke, 24, from Christmas Common, completes Oxfordshire’s track and field line-up.
Clarke’s heat and final are both on Tuesday.
