Oxford United have almost a clean bill of health as their build-up to the new season continues this afternoon with a friendly at Didcot Town (3).
Only goalkeeper Ryan Clarke and midfielder Andy Whing, both recovering from surgery, are unavailable.
Josh Ruffels, Callum O’Dowda and Jon Meades are all set to feature for the first time after sitting out the wins over Farnborough and Oxford City with minor niggles.
Jake Wright is also likely to feature after missing the City game with a slight ankle injury.
Overall, U’s head coach Michael Appleton is happy with what he has seen in pre-season so far and the U’s boss is boosted by having virtually a full squad available.
He said: “The lads are in pretty good shape at the minute and there are some really good signs.
“The biggest thing is staying injury free and make sure we get through the games unscathed.”
Didcot also go into the game on the back of two away wins from two pre-season outings.
They also have a striker in form, with Ryan Brooks scoring doubles in the 5-2 win at Milton on Tuesday night and the 2-0 success at Highworth four days earlier.
