OXFORD must prove that their Henley humiliation was simply a blip, according to captain Ian Crosby.
Crosby’s men visit Tring Park in Division 1 tomorrow, having slipped from fourth to seventh in the table after a ten-wicket drubbing at home to Henley.
“It’s hard for me to make a call on it as I missed the match,” said Crosby.
“We have just got to put it behind us and move on. We have to prove it was no more than a bad day at the office.”
Crosby and Freddie Simon are added to the squad.
Lloyd Sabin replaces Ian Tew for Banbury’s trip to Henley.
Banbury stayed top after edging out Gerrards Cross, but captain Jimmy Phillips is looking for improvement.
“To be honest, we have not been at our best for the last three or four weeks, but we have managed to pick up some wins,” he said.
“We need to raise our game if we are to beat Henley.”
Chris Leaney’s seven-wicket haul haul for the second team has seen him rewarded with a recall for Aston Rowant’s trip to Slough.
Leaney replaces Tom Needham as the only change.
Batsman Chris Watling said: “We are looking to bounce back this week after a disappointing performance against Wycombe.”
Captain Simon Hole is not getting carried away by Shipton-under-Wychwood’s third place in Division 2 as they prepare for their derby at Great & Little Tew.
Shipton have won just one more game than Tew, who remain in the relegation zone.
Hole said: “We have said all along that mid-table would be a fantastic finish.
“We still have a lot of hard work to make sure we finish where we should.”
Batsman Tim Senior comes in for seamer George Seacole (holiday).
Robbie Shurmer and Markus Jeacock replace Jordan Garrett (finger) and Matt Clark (unavailable) for Tew.
Skipper Andy Harris said: “We beat them earlier in the season and would love to do the double, but they are flying high and full of confidence.”
Left-arm seamer Graham Beer will make his first-team debut for second-placed Horspath at Falkland.
Rob Eason, Mark Skelton and Adam Krol also come in.
Pat Foster (wedding), Lloyd Belcher (Bunbury Festival), Jamil Faruq and Shahbaz Ali (both Ramadan) all miss out.
